Kakasaheb Chitale is a pioneer in dairy farming and agricultural development in the remote villages of Bhilwadi. His contributions span introducing modern technology, improving livestock management, promoting organized agriculture, and engaging in social work.
Introduced the first milk packaging machine using plastic pouches in India (Prepack, a French electromechanical machine). Successfully adapted and operated this advanced technology in challenging Indian conditions, developing the necessary infrastructure (electricity, compressed air, and film handling).
Worked with farmers to improve horticultural crop production (bananas, papayas, grapes, and vegetables). Serves as President of the Bhilwadi Grape Growers Co-op Society, promoting organized marketing to ensure fair prices and maximize benefits for small farmers by connecting them directly to the Mumbai market.
Actively involved in community development in Bhilwadi. Instrumental in establishing the Giants social movement in the village and served as President of Giants International Federation 2A. Holds leadership positions in the Public Library, Bhilwadi, and the Bhilwadi Educational Institute.
Since 1965, provided high-milk-yielding buffaloes (Mehsana and Munha breeds) to local farmers with subsidies and interest-free loans. Traveled to Mehsana and Rohtak to study best practices in buffalo management and breeding, knowledge that continues to benefit local farmers.
